My style focuses on telling people’s stories through humor, emotion, and the everyday candid moments.
I want your collection to capture the true you.
I grew up reading NatGeo and Times magazines but really it was for the pictures. Photo essays and documentaries on wildlife, people, war, love and anything else I could get my hands on.
I wanted to be like Joel Meyerowitz and Garry Winogrand and Kevin Carter. To explore the world with a camera and share peoples stories. To see how different we live from one another but also how similar and interconnected our lives are.
Then I turned 13 and I totally forgot about all of that. I started skating and hanging out with friends at the mall to find girls and stealing traffic cones and all the other fun kid stuff.
When I got into high school I took a photography class. Mainly because my girlfriend at the time was in it. I learned how to develop 35mm film and try out tons of cameras and quickly fell in love with photography again. I would ditch other classes to try out new ideas or run around campus with a camera like some sort of photojournalist.
Here’s a few of those awesome high school era pics
After high school I got booted out and couch surfed and rode trains from San Diego, CA to Portland, OR. I met a bunch of interesting people and saw so many amazing places.
Eventually I found myself in Paso Robles years later, after traveling through to see family, and stayed for good.
I also have two crazy daughters.
The kids are available as second shooters on request.
Well, thanks for learning a little bit about me.
I hope to meet you soon and learn all about you and your story!
